V-Slider streamlines loading and unloading
The hydraulically operated V-Slider, which links two semi-trailers, is one of VAK’s most ingenious innovations. What sets the V-Slider apart is its hydraulically operated, longitudinally sliding cargo area, which gives it unique handling characteristics. V-Sliders are available in a wide range of load compartment lengths: 7.8–13.6 m
A key challenge with traditional B-link and semi-trailer combinations has beenthe poor performance of the bogie structure on slippery surfaces in winter conditions. In the V-Slider, an electro-hydraulic power unit, electric switches, and a mechanical hydraulic valve ensure the load compartment slides smoothly and reliably in any conditions.
VAK offers V-Sliders with a range of bodywork options tailored to different operational needs. Options include curtain-sided bodies, box bodies, full side-opening bodies, and ATP-classified load compartments.
