Customer story – Kuljetus Ari Rajala – Partnering with VAK since 1991

Kuljetus A. Rajala is a family-owned business from South Ostrobothnia, established in 1986. The company was founded by Armas Rajala, who handed over the reins to his son Ari Rajala in 2005. VAK has supplied the customer’s hooklifts and swap body trailers. Alongside the quality of VAK products, the customer has also been pleased with the after-sales support and the professionalism of the service team.

“Our successful partnership with VAK has lasted for many years and began in 1991, when our first VAK product was completed. It was a body designed for transporting poultry, featuring air exhaust vents and two rotor-type fans at the bottom of the front wall,” Ari Rajala says.
“In 1996, our second VAK product was completed: the first hooklift device from VAK. The hooklift device was produced at the Seinäjoen Huoltopalvelut Oy site, which gave us the opportunity to familiarise ourselves with the product already during the manufacturing stage. We’ve been especially pleased with the after-sales support and maintenance, as well as the customer service and professionalism at Seinäjoen Huoltopalvelut,” Ari adds.

In March 2025, the customer received a new VAK LK 26 hooklift, paired with a new three-axle VAK swap body trailer. The new combination is capable of handling all broiler chick transport runs and can also deliver, among other things, bedding shavings to livestock farms across the South Ostrobothnia region.

This latest hooklift truck was the sixth delivered by VAK. We would like to thank Ari Rajala for his longstanding trust and partnership, and wish him many safe miles with the VAK fleet!
