VAK – Market leader in insulated trailers in 2025

The year 2025 confirmed what the industry already knew: VAK is Finland’s undisputed market leader in insulated trailers.

Last year, 507 insulated semi-trailers and full trailers were registered in Finland, with VAK manufacturing an impressive 45 percent of them. Our market share is even higher in domestic Finnish transport. Finnish legislation allows for a wide range of efficient trailer solutions, and VAK excels at making the most of these opportunities. We have unrivalled expertise in the industry, enabling us to customise trailers with bespoke equipment to perfectly match your transport needs. Every solution is designed with real-world operations in mind – built to endure, perform, and deliver results.

In 2025, we doubled our production of swap body trailers. A total of 84 swap body trailers were registered in Finland, with VAK manufacturing 49 percent of them. Our growth is driven by our ability to design and deliver solutions for every transport requirement, from 2-axle to 6-axle trailers. The robust frame structure guarantees both durability and stable handling on the road. The articulated drawbar prevents collisions with the vehicle’s axle structures when moving heavy pallets with a hook lift system. These structures are purpose-built for demanding professional use, with no compromises.

It was also a strong year for dollies. A total of 219 dollies were registered in Finland, with VAK leading the market with a 41 percent share. The VAK Dolly is engineered for harsh northern conditions. The standard hot-dip galvanised construction and special steel frame are shaped to minimise corners where sand and ice could accumulate. The articulated, robust support leg is optimally aligned to withstand applied forces. This minimises the risk of breakage and enhances reliability in demanding conditions.
